More Autumn

another autumn outfit incoming. i really love to wear my favourite clothes on a daily basis. this is definitly one of the best parts of a capsule wardrobe. only well fitting, beloved pieces.

i am wearing one of my basic black long sleeves, my favourite vest which is i think back from 2006 or so and a H&M skirt anno 2007. i really love this skirt because it feels so lovely and the length is just perfet. i allways have problems on finding skirts with the right length.

here is one of my favorite outfits for autumn. i love it because you can easy adjust it by adding another layer of clothes to it. i always love layering. the leggins are also a piece i was having an eye on for a long time. i bought them already some time ago at the wave gothic treffen this year. they are from the brand banned and usually quite expensive for a pair of leggins but i got them for a special festival price.

as mentioned in another post i had to replace some things for this autumn. here is one of those pieces. these trousers i bought from emp. i was looking at them since some time and now i finally bought them. as you might now i own a pretty similar pair in grey and black which got sorted out instead.

the rest of the outfit is pretty well known, old belt which i own since 2006 or so, plain black off-schoulder shirt and my favorite lipstick which is sleek vamp. and some might have spottet a new accessor on my wrist which is the classical casio watch. i am now finally member of the club

Right now i am in love with those classical goth wicca style. With a lot of layers, moon symbols and crystals. Luckily this is kind of hipster style right now, so it's easy to get some nice accessoires in the stores. At claires i found this faboulus earrings. I am pretty sure the crystal there is just black colored glass, but i can life with that.

I also wear my knitted cape from froever 21, black jersey dress from new yorker and some random black tights.

Some days ago it was really freezin cold in the city somehow -2 degrees celcius. I am wrapping up then with many layers to finally look like a tiny burrito. Other people on the street i saw with just some leather jackets wide open. I was freezing just by looking at them. Here is how i layer up when it is cold.

i have to say, i totally love my new jeans from this seasons capsule. i did wear it 3 or 4 times now. The jeans are very comfy and are combined easily with any of my tops. may it be tees or the pullovers. the denim is very soft, but also quite thick. so perfect for the berlin rainy winter weather.

I wear the jeans together with my Serenety teefury-shirt and my new wrap cardigan from about-you.

Stay on the easy side

in the last few weeks i don't feel like fancy dressing. So most of the time i wear comfy clothes in "ready to go" combinations. but to put something extra on i am playing around more with makeup and accessoires. so it is with this outfit where i think the necklace makes most of it.

i wear my black high-waist jeans and a pullover with lace detail. you know both already from my fall wardrobe, as there was not much exchange trough the seasons.

Winter capsule wardrobe

a new year started and also a new season inside my wardrobe. the snowy season did start some weeks ago. it can now snow until april (hopefully not) but i defintifly have to wrap up more. i feel very comfy with my wardrobe right now but i had to make some exchanges for winter.

these are the clothes that did not make it into the winter capsule for the one or other reason. the blazer, and the classic vans are just not made for the actual weather. the fluffy west and the cardigan i did not wear even once in the last three months so it has to go. same for two of the pullovers which i only did wear once each. i did discover that the handbag is just to small to hold even my purse, so it also has to go. the cord trousers and that pair of boots have been not in the best condition when i started the autumn wardrobe, and so they broke in the last few weeks completely. the dress moves over to my party-related wardrobe. it makes space for a self knitted dress which i was not able to finish until now.

i did show you my order from about you some weeks ago. unfortunately these trousers did not fit also the flattery skrit. so i had to send these things back. but i did go shopping last week and there i did finally find two new, well fitting jeans and a pullover. i also did buy a poncho/cape. i first was thinking about knitting it on my own, but when i was shopping there was a huge discount on that cape so it did cost only 5 €. if i would knit it by myself the wool alone would cost me more, so i bought it.

so that makes 11 out and 8 in which means that my wardrobe did shrink. i am pretty happy about that and super excited for new combinations. send out the white ravens, i am prepared.

How pinterest ruins my life

as we are all huge suckers for pinterest, everyone of us already has tried some DIYs or recepies or hair and make-up tutorials and failed badly. So was me with this hairstyle i tried it out now 3 or 4 times. The first time ended in a mess of hair with a lot of knots in it and me trying to brush it out again for 15 minutes. But i love the look of that bun and as it says it's easy it must be me who is just stupid.

i am also wearing my high-waist jeans together with a plain black t-shirt and my wrapping cardigan

so let's analyze that tutorial. my hair is about 5 cm longer than the one from the model. but also my hair is fractious and very smooth. so i never can make this hairstyle with fresh washed hair and i definitfly need some hairspray and bobby pins. for twisting around the ponytail itself i bought at DM one of those thingies a hair whatever loop. With the help of this little guy i could wrap my hair around itself twice, which made it short enough for step 7, which is braiding it. so... quite right but still not like that. i will try more and reveal the secrets of this specific hairstyle.

What was your biggest pinterest fail? Or are you quite perfect and can do even better than those pinterest pinners.

Winter capsule wardrobe shopping

i am planning right now my winter capsule wardrobe. most of my autumn wardrobe will move over. but i will have some things exchanged because they're worn off. These all have been things i had already for longer time, so it's not that they're worn off after three months. But especally some things had a not so good quality in keeping their color. I only wash my clothes by maximum of 40°C with color-protection washing agent.

Other things i will change is because the weather is much colder than in the beginning of autumn which is mostly a pair of shoes and a jacket. I also hope that i can finish my knitting project over christmas. Right now i am knitting a very comfy dress which i would love to have in my winter wardrobe. And i already have a next project on my todo list which is a knitted cape/poncho.

In the last three month i quit completely on clothes shopping except for some tights, because i destroy them on the go. So when i did get back to shopping now, i made a plan before what pieces i want to throw out of the closet and what kind of clothes i want to be back in. This helped me to keep myself straight on the shopping plan and nothing like "oh this shirt looks cute, and how about that dress?".

i also don't had enough time to go shopping here in local stores, which is kind of sad. because i hate sending clothes back which i often have to do, because of my special kind of body type. So i choosed to buy only at one online-store. So that i don't have to bring back 5 different packages. My mostly loved online shop is dorothy perkins but sending back parcels is totally annoying because you have to send them back to england. but i already made quite good experience with the fitting of dorothy perkins clothes so i wanted to order there. unfortunately they did not have any throusers i wanted, so i changed my mind and ordered at about you

Daylight steampunk

in Winter i mostly love wearing skirts and dresses (don't aks me why *g*) but i also have some trousers. This one has stripes and cute little zippers on the ankles. Of course i had to shorten these as 90 percent of all other jeans and trousers i own. But i wanted to keep the zippers, so i sew them back in again. Alltogether this is kind of a daylight steampunk outfit.

I am also wearing one of my basic black shirts plus vest. As Accessoires i am wearing a handmade octopus pin i bought at mauerpark flea market and a necklace with a magnify pendant.

i am a big fan of accessoires in all varities. And i especally love hats. Unfortunately most of them don't suit or fit me. But this hat i found price reduced at h&m and now it is one of my favourit "this outfit needs something extra"accessoire.

Let there be glitter!

There are some days where i just ne a big touch of glitter to brighten up my world. But on other days even glitter does not help. For those days i have a cat-ear headband! Here is an outfit somehow between bussiness, goth and crazy catlady. Just purrfect for me to brighten up the day.

additional to the cat ears and glitter eyeliner i am wearing: basic black shirt, blazer and my mostly loved (and quite death) lace-layerd skirt.

Es gibt diese Tage, an denen brauche ich defintiv Glitzer um meine Welt ein bisschen fröhlicher zu gestalten. An anderen Tagen wiederum, hilft nicht einmal mehr Glitzer. Für solche Tage gibt es aber Katzenohren-Haarrreifen! das Outfit hier ist irgendwas zwischen bussiness, goth und crazy-catlady. Somit perfekt für mich und den Tag ein bisschen fröhlicher zu gestalten.

The comfort zone dress.

Some years before i allways believed that dresses are allways fancy party fashion. so that they would not work for my everyday wardrobe. Bur now i wear dresses and skrits quite as often as jeans or shorts. This dress is one of my most loved ones and i have a quite similar one with short sleeves for the warmer times of the year. I totally love wearing it together with a belt. Today it's -1°C so i also put on a cardigan over the dress in which i can wrap myself to keep away the cold. Together with a scarf it is super comfy, warm and cute outfit. perfect for sunday brunch or a visit of the DaWanda Designmarket.

Red Riding Hood

Hello world!

As you all know from my detailed whats in my closet post, i only have one colorful item in there. It's a screaming red coat. Before i bought this coat i only had dark or black coats. But when i did start planning my London-vacation wardrobe (anyone interested in seeing this?) i saw that coat on dorothy perkins and had to buy it. But in the end, i did not take it with me to my London trip because the weather was still very warm when we did go there. This was the first time when i did wear that coat.

The cat tights

i saw those cute cat-face-on-your-knees tights allover pinterest and i really wanted to have one of these. But i thought "will they fit me? will the kitty be on the knee or somewhere else? how will it look like on a tiny person like me?". Then i saw them a my favorite tights dealer calzedonia for only 9 euros. And i did just throw all my negative thoughts out of the window and bought them right away. here is the outfit i was wearing together with them.

Here comes my first outfit post from the capsule wardrobe. As i do timetraveling at the moment i have already a lot of outfits in place to share with you. This is from beginning of October when i did go to the vintage computer festival.

Capsule wardrobe autumn

last time i mentioned to show you what finally got into my capsule wardrobe. My limit was 37 pieces including handbags and shoes. In the end i was on 38 pieces, which is just fine because the 37 was just a number i wanted as orientation. In the beginning i tought i will never be able to just use this small amount of clothes, but when i started picking the pieces out of the wardrobe it was much easier than i tought. The only thing which was hard to decide was about my tee-fury & co shirts. i have many nerdy shirts from various one-shirt-per-day pages and i love all of them. but i said i only pick up one for the atumn capsule and will wear to other ones when the weather is warmer and i don't have to hide them under a cardigan.
As a recap of my closet i have to say i only wear black clothes. Most of the clothes i already have around since many years so o only did buy four new items for this wardrobe. I also only buy kind of cheap brands, which i will now try to avoid in the future and invest money in more environment and economic friendly brands and try to have an eye on organic fabrics. But on the other hand i also try not to buy so many new clothes. So for every new piece i buy an old one will get thrown out of the closet.

Why having a capsule wardrobe

Since october i started a new (at least for me) experiment called capsule wardrobe. As i love fashion a lot but have problems finding the right fitting things ( pullovers are usually to long everywhere that i can wear most of them as dress) i often buy clothes that just fit rarely.
